Camera Troubleshooting
Having trouble recording? Here is how to fix common issues.
1. Check Browser Permissions
On Desktop (Chrome/Edge):
Look for a 🔒 lock icon or camera icon in the address bar URL. Click it and ensure "Camera" is set to Allow. Refresh the page.
On Mobile (iOS/Android):
If the camera didn't open, go to Settings > Safari (or Chrome) > Camera and ensure access is set to "Allow" or "Ask".
2. Connection Security (SSL)
Browsers block camera access on insecure connections. Check your URL:
- Localhost:
http://localhost:5000 (Allowed)
- Remote/Mobile: Must start with
https:// (e.g. via Ngrok)
3. Close Other Apps
If Zoom, Teams, or another tab is using your camera, the browser cannot access it. Close those applications completely and refresh.
